The Birla Institute of Technology was established in the year 1955 at Mesra, Ranchi, by the Philanthropist-Industrialist Mr. B M Birla with a vision to be recognized as a world-class learning institution for engineering and technology by providing the highest-quality academic programmes that foster student development and connect knowledge, practice, and outstanding scholarly research.Over the last fifty years, the Institute has not just kept pace with the times; it has often taken a lead in introduction of programs in emerging areas.
