Maulana Azad College of Engineering and Technology

Prominent citizens of the state decided to establish a society for the educational upliftment of the state with an emphasis on minority education.Realising that technical education was the only vehicle for upliftment of muslim communities. Some eminent, highly qualified and sensetive persons of the community like the Mr. Justice S. Sarwar Ali, Mr. Justice S. Ali Ahmad, Mr. Fahimuddin Ahmad(I.A.S, former Addl. chief secretary of Bihar) formed a Society named "Millat Education Society" registered in 1986 under the Societies Registration Act 1860.The society began its pursuits for the attainment of its cherished goal, decided to sponsor an Engineering College at Patna Which was named after Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, a great intellectual, an ideologue, an eminent politician and first Education Minister in free India.
