Department of Business Administration

The Department of Business management, one of the youngest in the 150-year-old University of calcutta, is preparing to launch the maiden issue of its journal named ?Journal of Business Management Research? (JBMR) early next year.Established in 1985, the Department has devoted its efforts and enterprise mainly to teaching and learning during the past years besides the Ph. D. programme and funded research projects. Today it offers one of the leading Post Graduate Management Programmes in the country and has already produced distinguished batches of alumni.

The journal will publish research papers, management articles, book reviews and case studies, with a management orientation, in disciplines/domains of business, economics, human resource management, operations research, information systems, behavioral sciences, supply chain management, public sector management, urban management, environmental management and other disciplines of interest to the business community and academics.The Journal of Business Management Research has been envisaged as an yearly publication. The Editorial Board of the journal consists of distinguished scholars/teachers in the management field.
