Department of Business and Industrial Management

The Department of Business & Industrial Management established in 1970, is the premier and the oldest Post-Graduate department in the state of Gujarat. In the beginning, the Department offered a Part-Time Post Graduate Diploma Course in Management for Professionals and working executives.
Phase I1970
1970 Establishment of the Department and Introduction of management education by commencing Post Graduate Diploma in Business and Industrial Management.
Phase II 1977
1991
Converted diploma into three-year evening programme.
Providing the degrees of M.Phil. And Ph.D. in management discipline.
The department acting as an architect and developing significant contribution towards the growth of management education through post graduate programmes by establishing 5 colleges offering MBA Programme in South Gujarat region.
Providing opportunities to faculties for their growth and development through FDP, research, seminars, workshops etc.
2001
Increased intake from 60 to 120 students as an additional batch of MBA Programme on self-financed basis
Started two-year full time MBA Programme.
