National Institute of Co-operative Management

The National Institute of Cooperative Management popularly known as NICM is an autonomous society promoted by the Gujarat State Cooperative Bank ltd., (an Apex Cooperative Bank of Gujarat State) in 1995 with the objective of providing management education and training to the personnel working in cooperative credit sector.Anticipating the Challenges of business in the 21st century and recognizing the imperatives of globalization, National Institute of Co-operative Management (NICM) multiplied its activities by commencing two year full time Post Graduate Degree in Business Administration (MBA) and three years full time Post Graduate Degree in Computer Applications (MCA) to cater the managerial and technological Human Resource needs of corporate sector as well as cooperative sector. The Institute is recognized as a Post Graduate Centre of Gujarat University, Ahmedabad and the MBA & MCA programmes are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, Government of India. NICM is the intellectual response to the changes in management and technology areas in a rapidly growing economy. As a management institute, NICM has a mandate to assist the cooperative sector, corporate sector as well as Governments in effective management. NICM is a nodal institute for conducting Management Development Programmes for the officers of Agriculture Credit Cooperatives including Banks and officials of Government Department in the above areas. NICM aims at serving the people, the nation and the world through its interrelated programs of instruction, research, extension and professional service.
