Engineering Seats Vacant Across The State Of Gujarat

Three admission rounds have been conducted in all engineering colleges across the state of Gujarat. The last round of admissions was on wednesday. After three rounds , about 1500 seats are still vacant. Though the admission process in government colleges are completed, the self-finance institutes still remain available.

The state government decided to increase the number seats , as the pass precentage of class XII of the science branch is expected to be high , this year. State government increased the seats capacity to 60 even in environment engineering and bio-medical engineering branches.

In Bhuj and Valsad, seats are vacant in government colleges also. In some of their branches, the number has not gone beyond 40 despite increased intake. When compared to last year , there were only 30 seats in some branches, this year the number increased to 60.

The only option for colleges to fill up the vacant seats, is to open the admissions to those students clearing supplementary examinations.
